Site upgrade and new look

I’ve upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress and took the opportunity to refresh the look and feel of the site.

Thanks to Aaron and his Velocity Diet site for (unknowingly) recommending the new theme :)

Ohh, I forgot to mention: let me know what you think.

I told you today that I really liked the old design, but I do like the little comments box on this one :)

I find this design more readable. I agree with Emma on the comment boxes.

This is wicked. It might be a bit busy on the right hand side though.

Better than old one for me.

Also your About Me page is pretty outdated. It has nothing about how cool I am.

Yeah, I agree about too busy on the right. The Recent posts are listed twice, and you see all those posts on the main page anyway, you could drop them both, and trim the archives section… anyone with half an internet skill can figure out how to manipulate the url :) Apart from that it’s pretty good.

I need to update the “About Me” page, you’re right Aaron.

As for the right hand side, you can pick and choose the “widgets” that get placed there, and the order they’re placed in. I removed them all and it looked “empty” so I guess it’s a no-win-situation.

It’s win-win if you follow my advice:

drop both recent-posts widgets, and bring the archive back to 12 months or so.

How’s this setup now? A good compromise?
