When you're extending Code Igniter's base classes, be sure to put your file in application/libraries/ and not just libraries/ with the rest of core classes. You'll spend an hour and a half delving through the framework code, littering it with debug statements before it becomes apparent that you're file's in the wrong location.

Saturday was a success, and great times were had by all (that I've spoken to). It was fantastic to see such a diverse range of friends and family all there to celebrate the relationship that Maggie and I have. The only down side was that Maggie and I were apart for most of the night doing our own thing, though as Mark pointed out, I see her all the time ;)

When the cake was cut I really did feel like a celebrity; there was at least half a dozen cameras jammed in our faces and flashes going off left, right and centre. If you have photos from the night can you please put them on a CD and get them to me so that we have the master collection. We didn't take any snaps and instead relied on Aaron and Tony, and possibly you.

I've bought into the hype and pre-purchased a copy of Halo 3. I'm not a huge video games guy, but with such a ground-swell behind it and 9.5/10 and 10/10 reviews flooding in, it's probably going to be great.

The store is opening at 6:30AM for people to collect their copy on the way to work tomorrow. They have boxes and boxes of the game and have it running on a big-screen instore, which makes me wish I knew the owners a little better (and I'd have a copy in my hands now).

I've got BJJ tomorrow night (after a 2-week hiatus) so I think it'll be a late-night Tuesday.
