However if they died doing the crazy thing, it would be seen as a stupid thing to do (because it killed them). So dying of something normal, probably helps their cause in the eyes of the general public.
Having said that, I’m not sure leukemia is mundane. There’d be plenty of excitement going on with all that chemotherapy, vomiting and so forth. Excitement week in, week out.
Do we know if the guy really died; or if it was just part of the film?
