I have my Mac change the background every hour. It does a nice fade effect into the next wallpaper. When it changes I genuinely feel good inside, and look forward to the next change.
My Dad plays a bit of Flight Sim on his computer at home, so I’ve seen the game evolve over the last 10 years or so.
Not bad, though the comments indicate that the frame rate is quite low in the FSX demo compared to what it should be. Hopefully Microsoft will fix that for gamers. I bet Dad wants a new computer now ;)
When I was in Sydney this time last year for RUXCON I went to an after-party for Parklife where I met Marcel Ateen, aka MC SirReal. He’s the honorary third Freestyler and can be heard on a number of their new tracks including my favourites “Fast Life” (which they performed last year at Parklife in Perth) and their new single “Painkiller”.
I searched my ‘blog and couldn’t find reference to meeting him last year. A quick recap: I am in Sydney with a friend, Adam. He met a stripper the night before and was entertaining her. I saw that there was a party on after Parklife so I got a ticket and went along. I spied Aston and Matt and had a chat with Aston - I recognized a T-shirt he’d worn in Perth the weekend before. I was careful not to be a dickhead hanger-on, but found myself talking with Marcel. We got on really well. I wandered off a few times, making sure I wasn’t cramping his style, and he came looking for me. He introduced me to a stack of people as “his friend” and made sure I wasn’t left out of any of the conversation. A true gentleman. He gave me his mobile number and said to call him if I’m ever in Londontown, which I might be next year. I doubt he’d remember me, but wouldn’t be surprised if he did.
Anyways… I thought it was funny that in the clip he’s running around with a head ache from too much drinking and mad drugs, when all he drinks is OJ and doesn’t touch any other substances. He’s the cleanest MC in the world!
I’ve had a sore jaw for the last two days so it’s time to talk to Terry (the dentist Em’s recommended for the next few months until she’s legal). I know that I need a few fillings; they’re the result of being a teenage male according to Emma.
I thought this cartoon was quite timely. I like how it’s known as “dentist money”.
