Holden != Chevrolet

You know what's really not wicked? Dickheads that take off their car's Holden badges and put on Chevrolet ones instead.

You're still driving around in a piece of shit, no matter what the badge is.

    Jack might correct me here, but I think its only the 5.7L V8 engines in Holdens that are Chevy products, and the V6 is a Buick design.

    V6 is now locally made 4v/cyl unit since about 3 years ago. V8 made in mexico and 6L based on a chev design from the ’50s.

    I agree with Matt, they should put Opel badges on their commodores, thats what they are based on, except the latest VE.

    …off to replace the badges on my Porsche with VW ones because they have the same plastic clips in the doors.

    Hey… There’s nothing wrong with Holdens.

    They are actually well built/designed cars.

    I’d be more than happy to talk about all the engineering brilliance displayed in the top range models.

    However; I admit there is a problem with majority of the Holden drivers; mainly those that are either unemployed or blue collar workers…

    Aren’t Commodores sold under the Chevrolet brand in the UAE? In either case, I’d argue that Commodores are more worthy of a Chevy badge than anything produced by Daewoo.

    Over here you can get Vauxhall Omegas (the car from Opel that Holden calls a Commodore after they’ve widened it) with a massive 2.6L or a 2L 4 cyl job. A 2L Commodore is a bit odd to see.

    The reason Holden made the VE with a new design is that the Omega model (and therefore the chassis) has been cancelled due to lack of demand in Europe.

    Lanzon: I feel your pain. Volvo drivers are terrible too.

    Jason: Holden exports and their branding.

    Lanzon: My point was more that these peope buy a *bog standard* car then change the badge, as though that makes it unique.
