Free Lego

About 6 weeks ago I spent an hour filling in some online market research conducted by AC Neilson for Lego. A few days after that I received an email saying that I had been selected for a free thank-you gift. "Nice" I thought, but didn't expect much. Maybe a little car or something...

Last Friday I received an email from our office staff indicating that I had a package at reception. I connected the dots and presumed the Lego had arrived. Then I thought a bit more... "how come they emailed me? Why not just put it in my pigeon hole? Maybe it doesn't fit!?"

I dropped past the office after dinner with some Maggie's family. Waiting for me was a 1:10 scale model of a Ferrari F1 racer. It took me about 3 hours to build on the Sunday, and is on special at the Lego Shop if you want your own :)

Lego has an awesome range out now called the “Exo-Force”… Kinda like Gundam meets Patlabor… Very anime inspired…

Score! Can’t argue with that. It took me about the same amount of time to put together the Silver Champion.

What’s the largest and/or most compex set in your collection?

Rob: I actually bought that set when I was in San Francisco. I built it in the airport waiting for our flight to Singapore. It was released in Australia a few months later. I’ve got most of the sets, except for the bridge assault one.

Jason: I’d say that this is the largest model I have in my collection. I’ve been buying the Lego System range recently, and not so much Technic. I have the T1 Typhoon which is quite large also.

So just how big is this? Can we have a shot of the lego next to something for comparision?

Shame the mindstorms are so expensive… Visual Studio has some cool little modules for the RCX chip… Love to get my hands on a set…

But untill i can afford it i might be staying with the Exo Force >_

That’s quite generous of them. I hope you’re writing a thank you letter.
