I told you so :)
I got, and subsequently replied to, an email from a work associate today. He'd been using Novell's SuSE Enterprise Linux, after having started with me on Debian.

I get so frustrated using any other operating system now. I can't imagine not having the power of Ubuntu at my fingertips. When I flirted with a Mac last year it was a hassle not having apt, though I understand that there's a port, or some similar system for OSX. Bah, whatever.
I would only ever get another operating system for games, which I don't have much time to play as it is.
I installed the OSX apt equivalent on Mels iBook. It broke X11, and I could not for the life of me fix it. She had to wait until the 10.4 update to make X11 work again, since the only option left was a complete reinstall. X11 is important for her since some of her custom genetic apps at work require it.
