Spam? No way!

Yikes! It seems as though my invitation on DavesBJJ forums was misinterpreted as spam. I've since added a page that details how you can contribute to the site, so hopefully that helps clear up any misunderstanding.

I think I'd be really offended that someone considered me a spammer if I didn't expect that the classification has come about as a result of a lack of understanding behind the goals of a Planet-based site. It's my fault for assuming that everyone knows how Planets work... though I did list a few sample sites indicating what my intentions are with PlanetBJJ.

Heck, this whole exercise might turn out to be in vain. It may well turn out that John Will and I are the only ones writing about BJJ! ;)

I met Dave and Coralie tonight at the Fight Night, and we got to talk about my plans for PlanetBJJ. I am confident that they're now more aware of what I would like the project to develop into, after having some initial doubts. I guess in this day-and-age it's not uncommon for someone to be trying to make a quick buck, but my intentions are nothing but good. But unless you know me already, I can see how it'd be doubted.

In other news, our boy Nathan Frost completely dominated in his first MMA fight. We counted about 45 seconds, which included an armbar attempt, some standup, and a mount. He took his opponent's back to finish with a rear naked choke. The feeling of being on the winning side is amazing. He did our club proud, and it's going to be great for morale. Unfortunately our other fighter withdrew earlier in the week with an injury, but I'm sure he'll showcase his skill soon.
