Inside Man

Last night Maggie and I saw "Inside Man" starring Denzel Washington, Clive Own, Jodie Foster and Christopher Plumer..

The story revolves around the perfect bank robbery, which is somewhat misleading as the bank isn't robbed. Well it sort of is. Maybe.

Clive plays a methodical, intelligent bank robber and Denzel is the NYPD detective/hostage negotiator that is tasked to the case. Jodie Foster plays a "go-to" person (if you're rich and have a major problem she can make it go away for a lot of money) and Christopher Plumer plays Mr. Von Trapp. No wait, he's a banker. My mistake.

I thought it was a great movie, and the camera work was intense. Maggie complained that the soundtrack was pathetic, and once she pointed it out I tended to agree.

Kim DirectorPlus Kim Director has a great rack (and the story draws attention to it). She plays one of the many "Steve" characters (all the robbers are named some variety of "Steve" like "Stevie" or "Steve-oh") and is busting out of her painter's smock.

This shot is from Law & Order, but that's not important.

Whilst bank robberies are not new plot devices, the way this plays out is certainly entertaining. If you liked Ocean's (Eleven|Twelve) then this is for you.

Mel and I thought it was good too, with one of the more original plots we’ve seen lately.
