That whole story has to be a sham. If you were told you had HIV, don’t you think you would get a few tests at various places to make sure? It’s ridiculous. I wouldn’t take one hospital/test labs word for it.
Especially considering the false positive possibility you’d really want a couple of tests, although in most cases the onset of symptoms would be the clincher I guess.
