Pump it up!
I expect jury duty would get pretty boring at times (if anyone has done it let me know), and it would be nice to use that time to do something else. It would be even worse being a judge... though I guess they kinda need to pay attention.
You'd want to maybe read a book? Lean something. Or make your willy bigger.
I know you can’t get out of it just because of uni exams. You can sleep, eat and go to the toilet I think, but you can’t make any noise (including loud farts). This means you’d get probably get done for contempt of court Matt, after your farts killed the judge ;)
You can get out of it if you have a letter written up for you company or from your company.
My brother got called up for it and got out of it, his company (Greater Union) wrote a letter stating he was needed as hes management etc etc.
Im waiting the day I get called the jury duty, i can imagine, I doubt they will though.
When I was called for jury duty it was the three most boring days of my life. Never mind the hours spent in a massive room with whatever you bring with you for entertainment, but when I did get called for a jury I was instantly challenged so thats teh end to that :P
One of the guys from work just said that English was his second language and he was incompetent for jury duty. He has worked with us for over a year and his english is just fine ;)
